US Mega Regions
A combination of the US MegaRegion map, overlaid with the proposed high-speed rail network. Even though I've grown a bit less optimistic about HSR spanning the entirety of the country (this country's population density just does not seem to be high enough to support such an endeavor, for better and for worse...), I still think that local region interconnects like the ones shown here would be fantastic if implemented properly.
